能楽や歌舞伎、祇園囃子に使用される能管。
龍笛と似ていますが、最大の特徴は「喉」といわれる細工で笛の内側を狭めて調律をあえて狂わせています。
The Nohkan (Noh Flute) is used in Noh, Kabuki, and Gion music.
It is similar to the Ryuteki, or dragon flute, but its most distinctive feature is the special part called “nodo”, which narrows the inside of the flute and dares the tuning to be out of tune.

・作者は東京の有名和楽器店へも出品している笛師の「康悦」。作者は長年、名古屋尾張地区で篠笛及び能管の制作を手掛ける。普及に努めるため各種祭礼のお囃子方への提供を行っている。
The bamboo is made from madake, or Japanese timber bamboo, that has been dried for 10 years. Although not soot bamboo, it is perfectly dry.
This model is made in a way called “hachiwari-gaeshi”, which means that the bamboo is split into eight pieces and the hard outer skin is turned inside out. It has a high tone quality.
The "sen-dan" is a rattan winding of 0.9 mm.
The “kashigane” (head metal) is sterling silver dragon.
Urushi (lacquer) finish.
The maker is "Koetsu," a flute maker who also exhibits at famous Japanese music instrument stores in Tokyo. The artist has been making Shinobue (bamboo flute) and nohkan (Noh flute) in the Owari area of Nagoya for many years. In order to promote the use of this flute, he offers it to musicians at various festivals.
