龍笛や能管を基に作られ、主に庶民の楽器としてお祭や民謡で使用する笛として親しまれてきました。
篠竹で作られたシンプルな笛です。
製作者によって穴の大きさや間隔が違い、各地方で調律も違っており、その土地に合わせた音階などがあります。
It is based on the dragon flute and Noh flute, and has been popular mainly as a flute for use in festivals and folk songs as a common people's instrument.
The original shinobue is a simple flute made of shinodake bamboo.
The size and spacing of the holes differs according to the maker, and the tuning differs from region to region.
